Hayden's Gift for His Baby Sister

I have been trying to come up with the perfect gift for Hayden to give his baby sister when she arrives and for sister to give Hayden. I was trying to think of something more sentimental that each of them could keep rather than just a toy or something. For Brynlee that was easy but for Hayden it was a little bit harder. So this is what I came up with....

We took Hayden to Build A Bear to make a stuffed animal for his baby sister. I was hoping he would have chose a cute soft bunny rabbit that they had or just a plain bear but he chose Hello Kitty instead. Which actually turned out to be a super cute idea! She was so cute with her big bow and necklace that came with her that I thought she didn't really need to be dressed so as we were walking up to pay Hayden was sad cause he wanted to dress her. So I found a cute pair of Hello Kitty Jammies that I thought would be perfect but Hayden was just not satisfied with that. He wanted an actual dress for her. So we picked out a dress. I wouldn't say that it matches her bow and paws the best but it's what Hayden wanted for his baby sister. Oh, and the best part of it is that we recorded Hayden's voice that's now inside of Hello Kitty's arm and it says. "Ummm, I Wuv You Bwynwee!" That's what he chose to say and we just took the first thing he said. I think it's a adorable and hope that Brynlee will want to keep it forever!

For Hayden I just couldn't come up with anything that I thought Hayden would think was cool and have interest in besides toys. But I wanted it to be sentimental. So here is what I came up with. A new beat and Transformers. For those of you who don't know what beats are at our house, it's Hayden's favorite blankets. My friend Jen's Mom, Claudine, had made Hayden some receiving blankets when he was born. We just loved them that as Hayden grew bigger we asked if she would make some more for Hayden but a bigger size. Hayden loves them and still does to this day. He doesn't have to take them every where or carry them around all day, he just wants them when he is sleeping or like when he goes to the baby sitter. I think it's a comfort thing for him. He can't have just one either. He has to have the entire wad. Like 2 to 5 at a time. Whatever he can round up!

I am looking for cute flannel Transformer material but haven't found any. So in the meantime, I did find some cute material that has guitars on it. So for now he will be getting one new beat with his new Transformers. I think the beats or more of a sentimental thing that I know Hayden will want to keep for a very long time. The Transformers are just cause I know he will think those are cool!

So now that I have all of that under control I can only hope that the Hospitals will now lift the restrictions of under age 14 visitors. I am hoping and hoping that they do before Brynlee is born!

That's really cute that he wanted to dress the Hello Kitty doll how he wanted and left the message inside.

My friend just had a baby this month at IMC and they let siblings come to the hospital. She was only 3 but they said as long as it's a blood sibling they're now allowing them to come. So I'm not sure if it's the same where you're delivering.
