Our Merry Little Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year! We had several fun Christmas parties that we went to during the holiday season and it was good to see everyone that we don't get to see all of the time.Santa was good to all of us this year! He brought us a Wii!! My parents gave us this family gift on Christmas eve and we have been playing it almost everyday since. We love that thing, including Hayden. He is quite the little bowler! My parents also gave us our Christmas pj's to wear for when Santa came on Christams Eve. That's a new tradition that my Mom started just since the boy's were born. Then the next morning we meet back at my parents house really early to see what Santa left for us at their house. Santa is always good to us at their house!! I know, we are spoiled!!

This year we were extra excited as Hayden was more understanding of what we do at Christmas time and about Santa. This year we left Santa some cookies and pink milk. Pink (strawberry) milk is Hayden's favorite so he was sure that was what Santa liked too. He must have because it was all gone when Hayden woke up to find what Santa had left for him. When Hayden woke up on Christmas morning, I was so anxious to see is reaction. He was really quite funny. Santa had wrapped all of his presents except for his new big boy bike. As he entered into the living room, he was excited to see the bike but he thought we were gonna see Santa. He kept asking, "Where's Santa?". After the confusion of why Santa was not at our house, Hayden decided to start opening presents but it just got overwhelming for him I think. Not that Santa left him a whole ton of stuff, (well maybe he did!) but just that it was early and he just wanted to play with what he had already opened. The next day we still had unopened presents under our tree. They are all open now though, just in time to open birthday gifts now!

Santa also brought Hayden a big boy bed! Hayden has been sleeping with us for the last month or so and it's been rough! Once he seen that his new bed was set up in his bedroom he said that he might be a little bit scared of this bed. What a silly boy he is! He has been sleeping in it every night since though. Nate has to lay by him until he goes to sleep and then he is fine for the night. Finally, Nate and I have our bed back!! We had plenty of restless nights with little feet running on our backs and enough headbutts on our noses!

All in all we had a very Merry Christmas and hope you all did as well!

Cookies & Pink Milk for Santa.

This is what Hayden saw when he woke up.

Tyring out his new bike!

Hayden's new big boy bed that Santa left for him. Mommy and Daddy gave Santa the bedding to use for it but Mommy has recently found a way cuter set at PBK that she is going to go get, soon... We are also waiting for Ron(our painter) to come and paint. So stay tuned for the complete finished product!

A Christmas Girls Night Out

Every year we like to try and go see the newest Christmas movie out in theaters. It helps get us into the Christmas spirit (as if we need help with that). This year we planned it with just the girls. Between family and friends there were 13 of us. It was sort of like a Mom and Daughter night. We first went to dinner at the famous La Luna in Jordan Landing. I don't know why we don't try any place different. We just love that dang stuff! After dinner we headed over to see Four Christmas's which I loved! I thought it was a cute movie. I had heard from people that it wasn't good but you just have to be your own judge. It wasn't all that "Christmasy" as I had hoped but it was pretty good anyway. We had a great time and shouldn't wait until the holidays to get to together like this. I know we are so busy and life seems to pass us by so quickly but it's worth taking a night out to enjoy great friends and family! Here are some pics of the girls!

Me and my lovely Mom!

My best bud Jen and her sweet Mom, Dini

This is silly Trish and her Mom. I know Trish from Sundance. Sad for us she doesn't work with us anymore so it was real good to see her.

Jade and her Grandma

Our good friend Heidi and her clone (daughter) Jenessa. Jade (the cute girl above is Heidi's other daughter and that is her Mom with Jade. We know Heidi from the gym. We work out together everyday and have become pretty good friends. They are all such cute girls and fun to be with!

Candy Trains

Every year at Christmas time we make candy trains. I guess instead of gingerbread houses or something we make trains. This started before I can remember at my Grandma and Grandpa Dimick's. My Grandpa loves trains so maybe that's why?! My Mom and dad have sorted of carried the tradition on even though we didn't have any little ones in our family they would still invite other family and friends. We were way excited to start this tradition with our boys and we did the very first year. Even though they were only 11 months old we still had fun! This year I was so excited because I just knew that Hayden would have so much fun doing this and he did!!! He was the only one out of his three friends that are around the same age as him that actually sat there the entire time. The others made their trains but the interest wore off pretty fast. Hayden enjoyed licking the frosting filled knife better than the candy! He's just like his mommy! Here are a few pics from the train making fun we had!

This is Hayden's Friend, Loftin

Another Friend of Hayden's, Mason (No, that's not a yucky nose. He ejoyed the frostig too!)

Photos with Santa 2008

The great Bridge Photography had a Santa photo shoot. We decided to take the boys there instead of the mall or some place. We have seen Santa at the mall however Hayden was really shy and didn't want to sit on his lap so he just waved to him. I didn't want to force him and thought he would be more comfortable at the studio rather than the big mall. He was still a little bit timid at the studio as you can see from the many faces of Hayden in the pics below. Hayden talks about Santa none stop and how he is going to bring him presents. A big boy bike and a big boy bed. Let's just hope Santa thinks Hayden has been good this year!!

Look at how cute this one is of Landen and Santa! It's my favorite!
