Daddy's Favorite Place!

Nate has wanted to take us to his favorite camping spot ever, the La Sal Mountains that are right outside of Moab . That is where he goes bow hunting and has done since he was young. I have been there with him before years ago before we had Hayden and it is a beautiful place to go but far. Finally this year we planned it early so the rest of my family could plan and go with us. We also had are friends Nikki & Jeremiah come along too.

iv align="center">We thought that since we were down that way that we would take one day and go into Moab and do some site seeing. We first chose to go to the Arches National Park . Nothing like we had expected. It was ok I guess but we really weren’t as prepared as I would have liked to have been. First, it was terribly hot!! Second, you really couldn’t see much unless you hiked and hiked. I would have liked to of hiked but we just weren’t prepared. We tried a little bit but the kids weren’t going to make it. We had heard of the Sand Dune Arch and that it is great for kids cause you can walk to it and it’s all sandy and the kids can take their shoes off. I was so looking forward to getting there, that’s all that was on my mind. We get there and pass it cause of course there is construction going on and it is a closed area. What a disappointment!! So instead we had a nice picnic lunch and then headed back down the park. I don’t think any of us could wait to get back to camp where it was cool! That was our first and last site seeing stop!! Back up to the mountains we went!

While camping, Nate took us on lots of fun four wheeler trails and fishing too. We saw quite a bit of wildlife. Bears, Elk, and tons and tons of Deer. The mommy deer were almost in our camp with their babies. It was so cool to see! All in all we had a very fun trip and Nate was beaming now that he was finally able to share his favorite place with his family!

Happy 4th of July!

What a fabulous day for a 100th year 4th of July celebration Magna parade! The last few years the famous Magna parade just hasn’t been all that great. So I was leery of going this year even though deep down I knew I couldn’t miss it. So glad we didn’t miss it! Hayden was so excited to go to the parade at Grandpa Rock’s house but after a while during the parade he got a little anxious…. I guess you could say. Once the candy throwing started Hayden was so concerned that all the pieces got picked up. Even out of the middle of the road and even stepped on pieces. He picked up tons and tons of candy but about half way through the parade he wanted to go home and it seemed he wasn’t having much fun. I think that maybe it was too much excitement and confusion. With our Uncle Curtis and Cousin Greg making us laugh like crazy during the entire parade Hayden may have been a bit over the edge with all the craziness! But all in all I think we all had fun and enjoyed ourselves! And what prefect weather!!!! 72 degrees! Maybe even a little chilly at times.

After the parade we spent the rest of our holiday with some old friends of ours, the Starley’s. They had rented a big bounce house/slippery slide for the kids. Even though it was not as warm was we would have liked the kids still had a blast. While the kids played we ate some yummy food and once it was dark enough we had our own little firework show.

Does this look fun or what?!

Brynlee..... 3 Months Old!

Look how our little girl is growing so big! It happens in a blink of an eye! Brynlee is now 3 months old! She is still as tiny as ever but is still growing and learning like crazy! We are getting to know her little personality now in all her little ramblings to us. And she has even got a little certain squeal to let us know when she is being irritated by her big brother. For some reason Hayden thinks it is funny to bug her so she gets mad. Oh boy! 3 months old and they both have each other figured out!

New Things about Bryn……

She rolled over for the first time! Her Daddy was the first one to witness the full rollover to her belly. Once she gets to her belly though she is stuck and gets upset. She doesn’t like to be on her belly for very long.

She giggles more and more each day!

She is very alert and loves sitting up rather than lying down so she can see what is going on around her.
Oh How I Love Our Little Angel!!! She brings so much joy to our lives!!

Bestest Boxing Buddies

Hayden loves loves loves to wrestle! Him and his Daddy are wrestling maniacs, as boys should be! The only bad thing is that Hayden thinks he needs to play wrestle mania every time that he is with his little buddies.
Hayden and his bud Trevor are the same age however Trevor a little bit bigger. None the less Hayden still thinks he has to tackle him down. Trev is a l0ver not a fighter! He is a gentle soft hearted little boy and then there is our MONSTER!!! Hayden is always trying to rough up Trev and he succeeded the other day by giving Trev a bloody nose! Oh boy did Hayden feel bad but we still had to ban him from wrestle mania with his friends. Thank goodness Trevor wasn't too upset. He forgave Hayden and went home and geared up for their next play date!

So glad that Hayden has such a good Buddy that I am sure they will grow up and be great friends. I think they balance each other out with their total opposite personalities!!
