Happy Easter!

We had a very busy weekend with the big cowboy birthday party on Saturday and Easter on Sunday. We had a great time both days! After the birthday party on saturday we went to Ma's and Bompa's house to color eggs. Landen wasn't able to be there as he was at his other Grandma's celebrating Easter early. So Hayden had all of the eggs to himself. It was a bit messy but he had fun as you can see from some of the pics below. He was my big green easter egg! Sunday morning Hayden woke up to find what the Easter Bunny had left him. A big Little Tykes bounce house with a slide. We had this thing set up in our living room. There was no way he would really be able to slide down the slide without hitting into something. It was wall to wall in there. Hayden still loved it and it didn't stop him from climbing inside and jumping. We overly spoiled him I think but I guess it goes back to that dang birthday being right after Christmas. Oh well, what do you do!! We then spent sometime with his Bompa Rock and Ma Marsha (Nate's parents). Nate's nephews were also there which was fun because we never get to see them. I was lazy though and didn't take any photos. Dang it!! It will be another two years before we see them again. Hopefully not that long but that's how it seems to be going. We then went to Ma's and Bompa's for an Easter egg hunt. We spent the afternoon there and had a great lunch/dinner and some yummy dessert. Ice Cream Cake from Cold Stone! (I had to take a picture of that because it looked so dang yummy!) The boys had a great time playing outside in the somewhat warm weather and we enjoyed watching them!

Happy Birthday Trevor!

This past weekend we went to Trevor's birthday party. He turned the big #2 on March 20th. For those of you who don't know who Trevor is, He is one of our very best little buddies. He lives just a few houses away from us. It's great because we always have a play date near! Anyway, the birthday party was a super cute cowboy party. Trevor's Grandma made all of the boys a cowboy jacket and the one little girl who attended a cute fringed mini skirt and vest. They all looked so dang cute. Jen gave all the kids a stick pony, way cute idea by the way!! Hayden was being shy and was telling me, "No Yee Haw Mommy". Landen though was loving it! He kept taking away the birthday boys cowboy hat. He just wanted to wear that dang hat! Trevor got lots of fun gifts and was surrounded by everyone who loves him. You are such a special little boy. The Petersons/Dimicks love you very much! Happy Birthday Trevor!

Of course there would have been no way we would have been able to "round em" up to get a group photo of all the little cowboys so here are a few random ones that I was able to get.

?An UnBirthday Birthday?

I went shopping today for a birthday gift for our little Friend Trevor whose birthday party is this weekend. There is so much fun summer stuff that would be fun to play outside with. It makes me feel bad for our Hayden bug. His birthday is December 30th. Way too close to Christmas!! I hate it! I thought from day one that he will have a 1/2 year birthday party for his little friends and then on his real birthday we would have another celebration but maybe with just family and close friends. I was thinking like at 1/2 year on June 30th. I have yet to set an official date of his unbirthday birthday because I am unsure if I should do this. I feel like he is missing out on all the fun summer things we could do for birthdays and I feel like he is getting ripped off yet I don't want people thinking what the he** is she doing this for. Maybe I worry about to much what other people think. Nate says I do so maybe it's true. I just can't help myself from asking. What do you think? Is the unbirthday birthday thing a not so great idea?

Missing Out

Nate called me this morning to ask me if I knew that Hayden can count all the way up to 9. I couldn't believe it! We do count together and he will repeat me and he knows some of the numbers that will come next sometimes but never has he done it on his own. Geeze, I hate that I am missing out on things like this. It makes me sad but happy too! There is so much that Nate and I miss out on everyday because we work. I leave for work before Hayden wakes up and Nate takes him to my nephews Grandma's house(Kathy) until I get home to pick him up. I want to wake him up but that creates chaos for Nate after I leave because Hayden misses me. So since I don't get to see him in the mornings Hayden will call me at work. Nate makes him giggle and I love to hear that. It just starts my day off right! I have to say that is my favorite part of the day, at least until I get off work and I pick Hayden up. There is nothing better than when I see Hayden after work and he yells Mommy and runs over to me and gives me a tight one (that's a hug in Hayden terms)!!!! He is so excited to see me!
Hayden is just getting so big and he is a smart little whip! I'm sad to see him get so big but yet it makes me happy and proud! Ah, the joys of being a parent!

Our Little Miracle

I got an email from my Mom today called 99 Balloons. Not sure if you have seen this yet or not but I had to post this along with the website below for you to see. It is about a little baby boy named Eliot. It is like a documentary written by his Father. I don't want to tell you much because it's a better story coming from Eliot's Father. Here is the link. You may have to copy and paste this into your browser as I am still learning the tricks of this blog thing.

From the moment that I clicked on the play button I had instant tears. As most of you know Nate and I went through the last three months of my pregnancy trying to keep Hayden in my belly. Without getting in to all of those details because you have all heard it before(except for Jennie), the bottom line is that I can kind of relate to this little movie clip that my mom forwarded to me. Not that we dealt with the same issues but in a sense we did. I'm sure anyone who has kids can relate to this as it is a very heart wrenching story. At 24 weeks and in full labor the docs were preparing us for Hayden to be born and the challenges we would all face. They kept telling us we will be lucky if we make it for 24 hours and Hayden is still in my belly. We made it the 24 hours and then it was we will be lucky if we make it a week. Another week went by. Each week or day for that fact was a huge milestone and the NICU Docs prepared us each step of the way. Long story short, we made it! By following the Docs VERY strict orders closely, Hayden came into this world full term at 37 weeks. During the 3 month roller coaster we were told that it would take a miracle for me to make it to full term. That is why I call our little Hayden Bug our little miracle.

Anyway, I can't imagine going through what little Eliot's parents went through and I am so thankful that Hayden is a perfect healthy little boy! It makes me really stop and think how lucky we really are.

OH NO!!

Oh Lord! I have been trying and trying to change my background template for weeks and every time I tried I was going to lose my page elements. It took me forever to get this blog up and running and I wasn't about to lose any of the stuff I had added to it. Well, today I did it. And it was bad news!! At one point my whole page was blank! Scary! Some how I managed to get it back but it's now this blue color. Which I think is kind of nice for a change. Anyhow, I am going to change it again soon to something cute but I can't go through that again. Any tips??
Jess, I should have waited like you said. I'm a little impatient!

My Purse/Diaper Bag

My new found friend Jennie thought that I ought to spill my purse. This could be scary! I accumulate so much junk anymore that it's a joke. I have given up carrying a diaper bag so I now stuff every thing in my purse now that it's big enough. I also always have a bunch of papers/bills that are my Grandma's since I am her bookkeeper. Okay, so I can't blame all the junk on these two things. I have alot of miscellaneous stuff of mine in their too. Well, here we go...
1. a bulging at the seams wallet
2. floating cash found at the bottom of my purse $27.71 (strange, I never have cash)
3. My Visa which I use for all purchases that's why I don't carry cash.
4. two drivers licenses. ones expired.
5. Business Card/Appt for Blush Day Spa for my man Cody! (my hair guy)
6. Business Card/Appt for Hayden's next doc appt
7. 1 blue pen
8. my badge to get into work
9. a little measuring tape
10. Tide to go pen
11. A bunch of random cold/sinus meds
12. Prescription for 800 IB Profin(this is from when I had Hayden but they still work for my sinus crap)
13. Prescription for Valtrex(Cold Sores)
14. Prescription nasal spray(dang sinuses)
15. Prescription cold sore cream
16. 1 old looking tampon
17. the black jack phone
18. Sani Hands Kids wipes
19. 21 receipts
20. A stack of mail/gift certificates/bills
21. Mary Kay satin lips
22. 2 Blistex
23. Carmex
24. several dum dum suckers but Hayden kept swiping them as I was trying to do this
25. 1 fruit Gushers
26. 1 pack of Orbit Sweet Mint Gum
27. 1 pack of Extra Gum (not sure of the flavor it's green though)
28. 1 Victoria Secret free panty card
29. car keys
30. digital camera
31. On the weekends I throw in a few diapers and some wipes while we are out shopping. It's not the weekend so I don't haul those to work with me!
Well, that sums it up! Pretty interesting huh!? Not really but maybe you learned a little bit more about me. That sounds kind of bad. I'm really not a dirt bag!
So now that I have spilt my purse I challenge you to do the same.

Happy Birthday To My Hubby!

My Hubby's birthday was on March 4Th. He turned the big 32! What an old man he is! Considering I am such a young chickadee still! Ha Ha! I'm right behind, I will be 29 this year. Dang time flies! He had a pretty low key birthday as he doesn't like all the fuss and craziness, so he says. I think he really does like it he just needs to be a hard Eddie. What a typical man! I did do a little surprise for him and took him breakfast to work. He hates surprises but he sure enjoyed the breakfast! Other than that we just had dinner at my parents house on Sunday as we usually do. My Mom made her yummy lasagna. It was a Craftsman birthday for him as he has been wanting tools so that is what we all got him. And of course he picked out his own birthday present from Hayden and I because the surprise thing just kills him. I don't always let him do this but since he wanted lame old tools I thought what the heck. Now he has something to put in the big Craftsman tool box thing that is sitting in our garage that he got a few years ago for Christmas. Nate's parents came to visit on his birthday and gave him some sort of Craftsman saw. HHMMM... Maybe that will come into use when and if we decide to finish our basement. Perfect!!
