Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

B is for Brynlee....

....and this Brynlee loves Santa!!

Look at this cutest little bum ever!!

Our Little Jumping Bean

Brynlee loves the Jumperoo!! We put her in this thing and she jumps like a mad women giggling and screaming! She only likes it though when you are sitting right there by her. It's not by any means something I can put her in to keep her busy while I try and do the dishes or something. In a sense she is just like Hayden was. Must have our attention at all times. More so in the evenings than anything. It might be because we are away from her all day long so she wants and needs our attention more than ever at night when we get home. None the less, it's fun to watch this little princess having so much fun bouncing all over the place!

Look at these cute little jumping tootsies!!

We Luv Santa!

We went to see Santa this year at our most favorite photographers house, Heather Bridge. This is the first time Brynlee meeting Santa. She didn't quite know what to think of this jolly old man. She would look up at him and turn to me and start crying then look at him again. All in all she did pretty good and we were even able to get her to crack a little smile.

Hayden has been excited to see Santa until we were actually there. At first he was being shy and wouldn't even stand by Santa unless I was right there. Then he loosened up and was able to tell Santa everything on his list. In fact, he loosened up to much that we couldn't get him to stop talking. He was literally still talking to Heather on our way to the car. She had to practically just shut her front door on us. That boy can talk!!!

I sure hope that Hayden is on the nice list and that Santa brings everything he is asking for!

Miss Curly Sue

Brynlee's hair is getting so dang long and I am not sure what to do with it. My dad says she needs a hair cut! What the?! No way! Not yet anyway!!
It's too long now to curl on it's own when I put stuff in it so my Mom found these old sponge curlers for me to use. They were a little bigger than I would have liked but they worked just fine. She sat pretty still for me to put them in but they didn't last long in her hair. I started out with 5 and by the time she was done eating and taking her nap she had 2 left right on top which worked out just perfectly. It gave it just enough curl to make her hair look oh so cute!

Doesn't she look so big with these curlers in her hair!

Oh that tongue of hers!

Brynlee.....8 Months Old

My little Mama is now 8 months old!! All I have to say is that she just keeps getting cuter and cuter everyday! Actually, I'm not sure how that is possible!! She is too dang cute as it is!!

New Things About Bryn....

We have seen her little monster side! She now hates, hates to be changed. Her diaper or her clothes. I try anything and everything to keep her attention while I change her so she doesn't want to roll away. It is definitely challenging!

She is still in love with her tongue! She has now figured out how to roll it and curl it! She is such a silly girl!!

Brynlee is starting to learn the meaning of "No No". She is a crawling machine and of course follows me around the house. Even into the bathroom where she wants to get into the garbage can. YUCKY!!! I tell her "No No" and she now leaves it alone. It's fun to see how she understands us more and more. I have been trying to work on kisses. I giver her tons and tons and I think she is more bothered by it so I doubt she will be wanting to give kisses back anytime soon. I do admit that I smother the poor little thing but I can't help myself!!

Her new favorite thing to eat is yogurt! She loves it! But what she loves even more is anything and everything that we are eating. When one of us have something she comes a crawling over and starts whining. It is too cute!

Look at my peaceful sleeping beauty! This picture was taken after an "up all night" let's party kind of night! You can't read her jammies but it has a zebra on the front and it says "Let's Party". This was the first time she wore these jammies and the very last! I'm skeptical about putting her in them again. I can't afford more nights of little to no sleep these days!! She is just so precious and innocent!

Here is our stinker getting into her diaper basket and pulling everything out. She wants to check EVERYTHING out!!

Here is that big smile that I love!!!

If only she had teeth....

If this little girl had teeth I think Hayden would be in big trouble!! This is a little look at how mad she gets at Hayden when he is in her face or he has taken something away from her. It is hard for us not to laugh because it is so cute to see her little personalty and that only makes Hayden want to bug her some more. We keep telling Hayden that he better watch out because as soon as she gets teeth it's gonna hurt! It hasn't sunk in yet so we will just be patient and wait until that day comes and then maybe he will know she means business!!

My Childhood Best Friend

Look at this cute girl! Her name is Melissa. I will never forget the day that I met her. It was the first day of kindergarten at Lake Ridge Elementary School the year was 1985 (sounds old huh!).
When my Mom took me into my classroom we saw Melissa sitting at a table all by herself putting a puzzle together. I still remember what she was wearing!! A red dress with her long dark hair in braids. My Mom walked me over to where she was sitting and asked her if I could sit by her and do the puzzle. (I was super super shy!) From that day forward she was my best friend all the way through elementary school until we got separated when we went to Jr. High. That was a sad day!! We both often wonder how our lives would have been different had we not been split up. But I guess everything happens for a reason.

I recently came back into contact with Melissa just by chance of running into her. I was so happy to see her that we since went out together a few times and I got to go over to her parents house where she grew up. Wow! What a blast from the past! I still even remember her home phone number which by the way has not changed! Other things have of course changed but I can remember everything as though it were yesterday!

It has been so nice getting to know Melissa again! It's strange how people come and go in and out of your life for some reason or another. I have to say though that I am happy this she is back and hopefully doesn't go anywhere very soon!

Mommy Son Date Night

Hayden and I went on a date!! Hayden had several choices on what we could go do and he chose to go see Tangled and get ice cream. This picture was taken just before we left on our outing after a very long day of playing and playing with his friends (No NAP!!) so he doesn't look very thrilled. He was so quiet the entire time we were gone. I thought for a moment that maybe he didn't feel very good but he said he felt fine.

Tangled was the cutest movie ever! We both loved it! I thought for sure Hayden would want to fall asleep considering he had such a rough day at play but he never did. He sat there wide eyed with his bucket of popcorn the entire movie.

After the movie we headed to Baskin Robins for some ice cream. Of course I am looking at all the ice cream thinking of what I would be getting if I were to get one. Mommy is on a diet so no good treats for me! Anyway, out of all the choices Hayden chooses plain vanilla. What?? Who does that? I guess my little man!!!

On our way home, Hayden couldn't wait to tell his Daddy how much fun we had together and was he already planning a Father Son date for the next night. It is a goal of mine to make sure we spend one on one time with Hayden once or twice a month. It seems as though since Brynlee joined our family he has been a little attention starved. So he acts like it anyway. He is used to having our full attention at all times and now he has to share that and I think he has been having a hard time accepting it. Going on our little "dates" is a great way to make Hayden realize that he is still our little Bubba and always will be!!

Hayden's First Love Note

How CUTE!!!!

I believe Hayden has his first little crush!! He loves going to Stacie's and playing with Calli. One day I went to pick Hayden up and Cali said, "Hayden, I drew a picture for you and slipped it into your coat pocket". Hayden had no idea! It was a surprise!

Here is cute little Calli Johnson! I went to school with her Mommy and Daddy and boy does this little cutie look just like her Daddy! From what I have been told Calli sounds like she gives Hayden some competition for who is the boss. It is always Calli! I want so bad to be a fly on the wall at Stacie's house to see these two interacting with each other. It has got to be a hoot! Too little bossy butts!!!

Our Hard Workin' Man

Nate had to work late one night so Hayden, Brynlee, and I decided to take Nate some dinner. Hayden and I have done this before and Nate has shown Hayden all the fun big machines that his Daddy gets to run. Hayden loves hanging out with his Daddy at work and he asks every now and again if we can take Daddy a happy meal and eat dinner with him at his work. Nate is usually way too busy to entertain us while he is at work so this special treat doesn't happen very often but when it does Hayden gets so excited!

(Sorry the pics are so little. they are from my phone and they didn't turn out very good.)

This is one of Nate's many machines that he runs throughout his days at P2D.

There was a big big box full of rubber bands that Hayden could not resist playing in. Here he is looking through one.
