Cabin Fever!

THE CABIN

Last weekend we finally made it to the cabin at Panguitch Lake. It has only been a good two years since we have been there! That's lousy! Before we had Hayden we would go to the cabin several times a year. I'm not quite sure what happened? Anyway, we were able to meet our family from Mesquite there since it is sort of a half way mark for us. It's always nice to see my family as much as possible! We also had some friends come along, Jon & Heidi and their two girls, Janessa & Jade. We all had such a great time ice fishing, sledding, having pedicures, playing the Wii, playing Apples to Apples, and eating great food but we were missing Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Frank and my Brothers little family. It just wasn't the same without them there. We hope to go again before the snow melts for some more ice fishing and sledding and hope that next time everyone will be able to join us!! I just know Landeen (Landen) would have a blast just like Hayden did! The picture above of the cabin just doesn't do it justice. It is the most beautiful place ever! Thanks Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Frank for making us feel so welcome even though you weren't able to be with us! We love and appreciate you very much!

Our Friends, Jon & Heidi. Such a cute couple, we love to hang with them.

Kristi doing her amazing pedicures! She's a pro! Thanks Kristi!

Hayden just can't miss out on anything, even if it is just for girls!

Happy Birthday Landen!

Exactly one week after Hayden turned three, my nephew Landen turned three too. Between Christmas, Hayden's Birthday, and Landen's Birthday we have been celebrating for weeks and weeks! Though Hayden and Landen were born one week apart they are two totally different boys. Best Buds (when they want to be) but yet they both love to tease and torment each other too! All I can say is "Boys will be Boys!".

Happy Birthday Landen! You are one special little boy to us! We love you... to much! (As Hayden would say when we ask him how much he loves us.)

Hayden is 3 Years Old!

Our big boy turned 3 on December 30th! I can not believe we are parents of a 3 year old! It just seems like yesterday he was born. I just don't know where the time goes?!

Because Hayden's birthday is so close to the holidays we always try to make it an extra special day for him. On the 30th, I sent Hayden with some cupcakes to Kathy's house to share with the kids. Hayden got an extra special birthday present from Kathy and Bompa John, they took him to the toy store to pick out his own gift. None of the other kids besides Landen gets to do that so it was a very special thing for Hayden to do. He was excited to show me when I got home what he had picked out. He had picked a few Tonka Helicopters and they also gave him 3 movies. Later that night, Nate and I had our parents come over along with my Brother and his little family for pizza and cupcakes that Hayden and I made the night before. My parents gave him his big gift on this night since it was his real birthday. He got a new Yamaha Raptor four wheeler. OK, so not a real four wheeler but a Power Wheels one. It is the cutest thing ever! He sure thinks he is big stuff on that thing! He already as it all figured out on how to go forward and backwards. He is just too dang smart! He also got some CAT diggers and trucks from his Bompa Rock and Ma Marsha. Hayden loves diggers too!! Nate and I gave him some Transformer stuff since he is recently been into Robots (Transformers) lately. On

Saturday January 3rd, we celebrated once again for Hayden's birthday but this time with his little friends! We planned a fire truck birthday party since Hayden has always loved to see and listen for the firetrucks. I had planned ahead and called the fire station and asked if we could come and visit for Hayden's birthday. They were the nicest Firemen ever! They loved having the boys come by to visit. Our Fireman host was so dang cute with the boys! Before we went to the fire station we had a little party at our house. I had the table set up for the four boys with fire hats, fire truck cups for chocolate milk to eat with their hot dog lunch, a fire truck picture to color for the Firemen and a box of crayons. Hayden loves to color so I thought that would be a fun idea. Hayden was really the only one that cared much to do that though. Landen was so dang tired that he didn't care to do much of anything and the other two boys just wanted to play in Hayden's toy room. It's kind of hard to round up these four little 3 year old boys and have their attention long enough to do much. But it actually went really well. We ate lunch, opened presents, and sang to Hayden. He is such a shy boy when it is time to sing to him. He gets embarrassed. It's so cute how he tried to bury his face into his little hands.

We all then headed to the fire station. Hayden was the big birthday boy so he got special treatment. He was the only one that got to drive the firetrucks and ambulances. Loftin sure wanted a turn but the fireman kept telling him that only the birthday boy gets to drive! Hayden got to get in and even honk the horn, that was probably his favorite part! After the fire station we headed back home for the second half of his party with the rest of our family. It was a big birthday bash of a day! Hayden was a good sport for most of the day considering that he wasn't feeling all that great. Once the second part of his party started with our family coming he perked back up to open more presents and to pay with his cousin older cousin Tyson. He loves bigger kids!
Hayden, We love you so much! You are our world! We are so proud to be the Mommy and Daddy of the cutest most bright boy ever! I hope this was the best birthday yet!

Just waiting for the party to start!

This is a funny video of Hayden while we sang to him. He was being so shy. Then Loftin tried to blow out his candle. You can see the funny look on his face for a breif second.

Our Happy New Years Eve 2008

To celebrate for New Years we spent it at my parents house as we have since Hayden was born. We kind of turned it into a pajama party tradition with some of our family. We wear our pajamas that my parents gave us on Christmas eve. This year we had a Wii bowling tournament (we are addicted to that thing), ate good food, and had a toast to the New Year while the boys ran around like wild men! I am glad that the busy holidays are over now. Is that sad? I love the holidays and I do get sad once they are all over but then when I think about it I am relieved. I am just ready to move onto a great new year!

Here are a few of the pictures that were taken of the fun night we had-

Our Merry Little Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year! We had several fun Christmas parties that we went to during the holiday season and it was good to see everyone that we don't get to see all of the time.Santa was good to all of us this year! He brought us a Wii!! My parents gave us this family gift on Christmas eve and we have been playing it almost everyday since. We love that thing, including Hayden. He is quite the little bowler! My parents also gave us our Christmas pj's to wear for when Santa came on Christams Eve. That's a new tradition that my Mom started just since the boy's were born. Then the next morning we meet back at my parents house really early to see what Santa left for us at their house. Santa is always good to us at their house!! I know, we are spoiled!!

This year we were extra excited as Hayden was more understanding of what we do at Christmas time and about Santa. This year we left Santa some cookies and pink milk. Pink (strawberry) milk is Hayden's favorite so he was sure that was what Santa liked too. He must have because it was all gone when Hayden woke up to find what Santa had left for him. When Hayden woke up on Christmas morning, I was so anxious to see is reaction. He was really quite funny. Santa had wrapped all of his presents except for his new big boy bike. As he entered into the living room, he was excited to see the bike but he thought we were gonna see Santa. He kept asking, "Where's Santa?". After the confusion of why Santa was not at our house, Hayden decided to start opening presents but it just got overwhelming for him I think. Not that Santa left him a whole ton of stuff, (well maybe he did!) but just that it was early and he just wanted to play with what he had already opened. The next day we still had unopened presents under our tree. They are all open now though, just in time to open birthday gifts now!

Santa also brought Hayden a big boy bed! Hayden has been sleeping with us for the last month or so and it's been rough! Once he seen that his new bed was set up in his bedroom he said that he might be a little bit scared of this bed. What a silly boy he is! He has been sleeping in it every night since though. Nate has to lay by him until he goes to sleep and then he is fine for the night. Finally, Nate and I have our bed back!! We had plenty of restless nights with little feet running on our backs and enough headbutts on our noses!

All in all we had a very Merry Christmas and hope you all did as well!

Hayden's new big boy bed that Santa left for him. Mommy and Daddy gave Santa the bedding to use for it but Mommy has recently found a way cuter set at PBK that she is going to go get, soon... We are also waiting for Ron(our painter) to come and paint. So stay tuned for the complete finished product!
