Hayden has some BIG news!!

We are so excited!! We are even more excited to finally share our news with everyone! My expected due date is April 9th which means I am 10 ½ weeks along. Nate and I attended our first appointment with my new Doc and everything is going well so far! We got to see baby! Although baby is really really tiny still we still got to have an ultrasound and to our surprise the little jumping bean would not sit still for the Doc to see its tiny heart beat. Wow, I can’t believe how much the baby is already moving and I feel nothing. However, I do feel very sick and very tired! I am hoping that the sickness is going to come to an end here shortly. We have some big steps in my pregnancy coming up. In just a few weeks I will be having surgery so they can make sure this baby stays inside my tummy until it’s time. Doing this surgery hopefully means no bed rest and no staying in the hospital for three months. They of course can’t guarantee anything but this is sure a big help in preventing it.

Today I finally decided to tell my department at work. I had come up with a cute idea using pink and blue M&M's and made a little sign that said, "Pink or Blue Pink or Blue Someone has something to tell you, Can you guess who?" I had my friend Jen help me with the cute set up and we put it out when no one was around. It was fun watching everyone as they discovered it sitting there and guessing who it may be. Of course I am a horrible liar and I am sure they could all read me like a book but it worked out perfectly. It was real fun because not only did Jen ad I know about me being pregnant but we also knew about a guy in our dept. and his wife also having a baby and due one day apart from me. Odds were with him on guesses on who it could be. Pete had four guesses, two boys and two girls. I had six guesses, two boys all four girls. It was a fun surprise for everyone! It has been fun to see and hear what everyone thinks. They will be doing a little poll at work to see who gets closest to our delivery dates and guessing the sex of our babies. It should be interesting!

I am excited to have this blog this time around so that I can document our journey and what it takes for us to bring our little miracles into this world.

Hayden's First Day of Preschool

Hayden started preschool at Aunt Sands on September 11th. I can not believe this day has already come and gone. I called Sandra to put his name on the list when he was just three weeks old! And I thought to myself at that time that I can’t even imagine when he gets big enough to go to school. I thought it seemed forever away. But boy how the time has flown by and Hayden is already almost 4 years old!

We had gone to orientation a few weeks before his first day and Hayden was glued to my side. Of course!! He is still a Mommy’s boy! After that I thought for sure it was going to be rough on both Hayden and I when it was time for me to leave him on his first day. But to my surprise Hayden was quite excited! He walked right in as I stood at the door. I stayed there for a bit to watch but then thought I better get the heck out of there before he changes his mind. I felt so good about leaving that I never expected to see what I did when I picked him up. A sad teary eyed little boy with a note on his shirt from the teacher that said,

It broke my heart! Needless to say, he is not looking forward to going back again this week so I have been trying extra hard to talk it up and make it sound so much fun. Which it is, I have no doubt, but Hayden sure does. Wish us luck for the weeks to come! We are going to need it!

The boy's excited to get to school!

The sad note that was sent home with Hayden.

After their first day of school we took the boys to Mcdonalds for lunch. How funny, they all wore red shirts!

Wedding Fever!

Tis the season for weddings! In the past month we have had two different weddings in our family and funny they were both at the same location! On August 7th, Janessa and Taylor (our friends Jon and Heidi’s daughter) were married and they asked if Hayden and Landen would be their little ring boys. Of course we were so excited! Hayden’s first wedding!! The location was Wheeler Farm which was very fitting because it was a country themed wedding. So Hayden got to be a little cowboy! He looked to dang cute in his little wranglers! They both did pretty good walking down the isle although I had to walk behind them pushing them along. While the ceremony was going on neither of them would stand by the groomsmen until they were asked for the rings so they came off to the side where Jenna and I were standing. Landen was a little whiney and he kept saying aloud, “I gotta go poop.” We were on the side with the groom’s family whom he didn’t know and the grooms poor Grandpa kept looking at us like who in the heck are these people! They have no manners! Well, what can you expect from a couple of 3 year olds?!

Here are a few pics of his cuteness!

The next wedded couple was my cousin Greg and his bride Jen. I have to say they are the perfect couple! They too, asked Hayden and Landen to be their little ring boys. Again, this wedding was at Wheeler Farm however it was not country style at all. It was just a regular wedding with tuxes and the boys were wearing a little outfit with a vest and tie. So cute! They boys didn’t do as well with this. I thought they would know exactly what they were doing since we had just done this a few weeks before and even at the same location. But they were both cranky and whiney during the entire ceremony. I again, had to walk behind them pushing them down the isle. Except this time it wasn’t Landen needing to go poop it was Hayden needing to go pee. I swear, it is never a dull moment with these boys! All in all we did make it through everything, barely! We didn’t exactly get any great photos because they just wouldn’t cooperate. Little Stinkers!

Congrats to our family and friends!

Here are a few pics that we were able to get.

Hayden's reward for being good during the wedding. I didn't really think they deserved it but what do you do?!

Boy, don't they look happy!

He just didn't want to wear the stinkin' outfit!

Labor Day Weekend

We spent the last summer holiday weekend at the Uintah’s with family and friends. Gilbert Meadows is beginning to be my favorite place to go camping now. It used to be boating in Delta but I think I have changed my mind! The Unitah’s are cool and so serene. Just so calm and quiet. It is nice to go up there to get out of the summer heat. And it is extra nice to be able to spend time with my Grandpa Gary! This is his favorite place to be so it is a special time for us to spend with him making memories that I hope Hayden will remember. Hayden loved paling around with my Grandpa. He had Hayden helping shovel up some wood shavings from when we had cut fire wood. It wasn’t really necessary but Hayden kept saying he wanted to go to work because my Grandpa had this little short shovel that was just Hayden’s size. It was so cute watching them work together. My Grandpa gets working and he is always humming. Following closely behind was Hayden concentrating and humming too! It was so dang cute! Then Hayden got to help build a fire. Why do little boys love fire? Hayden is fascinated by the fire and wants to always keep throwing logs on. He loves to cook hot dogs and roast marshmallows. Hopefully I’m not raising a little pyromaniac!

We played some baseball with Hayden while enjoying the nice weather!

Oh how romantic! This doesn't happen all that often!

My cute parents!

This is what mostly happens when we go on long four wheeler rides.
