Gilbert Meadow Camping Adventures!

We spent the July 24th holiday weekend at Gilbert Meadows which is in the high Uintah Mountains. My Grandpa Gary owns some land there and has done for many many. My Grandpa spends most of the summer up there and is usually by himself. He just loves that mountain terrain!

My Grandpa took us on alot of fun four wheeling trails and also took us fishing at Marsh Lake. This was Hayden's very first time fishing! He loved it!!! He was a little bit afraid to touch or hold the fish that we caught but he still thought it was pretty cool. Landen was hilarious about the whole fishing thing. He has such a soft heart that he was completely distraught over the fact that we were going to eat the fish. When my brother was cleaning them up after we caught them Landen was really worried then!

We had a wonderful time being able to spend time with my Grandpa whom we don't get to see all that often and we can't wait until we go back very soon!!

One of the first catches made by Hayden.

Hanging out around the fire on some cool little log chairs Grandpa Gary had made.

My Grandpa took us to some little houses that were built back in the depression. That was real interesting.

Our lovely view while fishing.

Nate carved Hayden's initials on the same tree as my Grandpa's. Of course my Grandpa's name is high up on the tree now sinve it was done many many years ago.

My Grandpa's brand that we seen in many trees.

For some reason my brother could not catch a fish. Nate was doing all the fish catching this trip. Until we were just about to leave. Then he caught this bad boy! He was sure proud!

Grandpa Gary and My Mom. I am so glad that she got to spend some time with her Dad.

Grandpa and the Boys.

Our little fisherman!

Mom and Dad. How cute are they!

On a four wheeling trail over to lake we had to go through this river. It was fun!

My Grandpa took us to a place called Suicide Park on the four wheelers. This was real interesting stuff! Kind of creepy! I hope you are able to read the sign. Along with this sign there were 3 or 4 graves with little headstones and it had a wooden fence around it.
